Our Curriculum Intent

We intend our curriculum to be empowering by:

  • Fostering independence and enthusiasm for lifelong learning;
  • Building children’s awareness of the real world (including culture, economics and core Christian and British values);
  • Developing an enquiring mind, curiosity and reverence towards the world.

We intend our curriculum to be inclusive and accessible to all learners by:

  • Treating all children equally regardless of gender, race, background, faith or sexual orientation and respecting and celebrating difference;
  • Promoting mastery of Literacy and Numeracy knowledge across all subject disciplines
  • Offering flexibility to meet the individual strengths and needs of each child;
  • Promoting the development of the whole child;
  • Encouraging positive mental health and wellbeing which will build resilience and self-belief.

We intend our curriculum to be enjoyable and engaging for all learners by:

  • Providing breadth and balance that gives every child an opportunity to discover and embrace their potential

We intend the curriculum to prepare the children for the challenges of an ever-changing society which includes a collective responsibility for the stewardship of God’s Creation.
