School Uniform
We encourage all parents to provide their children with St Benedict's School uniform. The school takes pride in the appearance of the children and a consistent approach to uniform helps our sense of community. Support from all parents and children is vital to maintain standards.
Uniform
· Grey or black short or long trousers
· Grey or black school skirt, Grey pinafore
(Blue gingham dresses can be worn in the warmer months)
· Light blue polo shirt with school logo (or plain)
· School jumper or cardigan with the school logo
· Black shoes – not trainers, boots or open-toed sandals
· Wellington boots
PE Kit
· Navy blue t-shirt with school logo
· Plain black shorts
· Trainers or plimsolls
· Navy jumper with school logo
· Black leggings/jogging bottoms
Children wishing to play football in Key Stage 2 should be provided with a pair of football boots or trainers
Jewellery
On health and safety grounds, we do not allow children to wear jewellery at school. Pupils with pierced ears may wear plain small studs, but please send your child without them on PE days, or cover them with tape if the piercing is new. Looped or hanging earrings are not allowed.
Hairstyles and makeup
Parents should be aware that extreme hairstyles for children, such as mohicans, dyed or coloured hair or tramlines, are not suitable for school. Hair longer than shoulder length should be tied back. Children should not come to school wearing makeup and nail polish should be removed.

Good quality second hand uniform is also available - £1 per item (donated to PTA funds)
